Today we are pleased to introduce you to Marina Markovic, who recently came into contact, thanks to her friend and colleague Marcello Caloro, with the project Poker Social Enterprise.
How did you get in touch with the Poker Social Enterprise project and which aspect impressed you most and convinced you to take part in it?
I am thrilled, as I’ve never been, because after so many years working with poker tournaments, with very good colleagues, I realize that we have the opportunity to create one ourselves! I finally feel like I’m an integral part of something, and that gives me incredible energy.
Which carrier did you go for and why?
I consulted at length with my mentor Dr. Pietro Semeraro, CEO of All In Channel Entertainment & Communication S.r.l., before deciding, and, in the end, I opted for that of Webmaster and SEO management, although it was not, I must admit, my first choice. I’m gonna find out about my real skills on the ground, and all I know is I’m definitely gonna try.
In your opinion, can the Poker Social Enterprise project really contribute to improving the working conditions of live poker?
I think so, because all the people involved in this project are part of the “poker world” and know perfectly what can be improved, and what already works properly. It will prove to be a great opportunity to make winning changes. The feeling is that our contribution is finally required, I feel I can say, 360 degrees.
What impact do you think it can have for a Dealer, managing a table exclusively composed of Pro players?
Well, there is a big difference when working only with PRO, compared to amateurs, starting from the player’s behavior at the table, and then moving on to the management of the game. The first thing I can point out is that it speeds up enormously, and that already makes our work a lot easier. There’s no denying it, it’s very fulfilling.
